What makes dyno testing car engines special?
A dyno testing stand is a machine that measures how much turning power (torque) car engines can produce. It is important for two reasons:
1. The dyno test allows us to tell you how much power our remanufactured engines actually produce. Some companies only tell you how much it is supposed to produce if their remanufactured engines were assembled correctly; some never test the replacement engine.
2. We won't ship it if it doesn't have enough power. Some companies think that if you spin the engine or simply start the engine that is enough. At Marshall Engines, we do more. All crate engines are actually run under various loads and the engine’s performance is measured and compared with expected values. If it doesn't measure up, we won't ship it. To validate the performance, all our Dyno tested remanufactured engines are shipped with the actual test chart for that specific replacement engine.
