About Marshall Engines

Industry Leadership and Innovation

If you're looking for the leader in the industry, look no further. For over 25 years, our remanufactured engines have been purring from coast to coast -- racking up an incredible four billion miles on the two hundred thousand car engines we've put on the road since 1982.

When Ford, Chrysler and General Motors created the QS-9000 quality standard, Marshall was among the first in the industry to adopt, meet and exceed them. Marshall introduced the world's first dynamometer tested and documented production replacement engine.

While the world was dancing to disco music, Norris Marshall, founder of Marshall Engines, was busy mastering the science of remanufactured engines, building high performance engines for friends and neighbors. By 1982, the idea of building a business was born and Marshall Engines was launched in 1983. By 1985 the company was thriving in its first commercial location producing many needed car and light truck engines. Inventory and sales continued to expand as a line of cylinder heads were added and distribution through retail parts stores became the preferred method of selling remanufactured engines.

More employees were added each year as capacity exceeded demand. Plant expansions in 1991 and again in 1995, helped the company feed the growing demand for superior quality replacement engines and cylinder heads. The addition of First Mate Marine Engines to the company holdings further accelerated growth. In the spring of 2000, Marshall opened a second manufacturing plant in Overton, Nebraska. Marshall also launched its line of BluePrint High Performance Engines and remanufactured transmissions in the spring of 2004.

Today, Marshall Engines has nearly 200 production, office, and sales personnel. Production capacity in excess of 100 light truck, marine, commercial and high performance car engines per day keeps products flowing to warehouses covering a market from coast to coast and from Mexico to Canada.

The simple goal that Norris set in the beginning is the cornerstone of today's success: "Give our customers quality remanufactured engines at a fair price." Marshall delivers a superior replacement engine, dependable service, and unparalleled protection for each customer's investment. Marshall's customers feel confident in the company's ability to consistently deliver higher quality products from yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
